Qualsafe’s First Response Emergency Care suite of training
FREC or First Response Emergency Care
FREC or First Response Emergency Care is a set of qualifications that goes beyond traditional first aid practices, offering comprehensive training for individuals in various emergency situations. The various levels of FREC provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively in critical incidents. These qualifications are used across a range of industries, including security, event medicine, and within the UK Ambulance Services. This expanded educational framework not only enhances individual capabilities but also significantly contributes to public safety and confidence in emergency response systems.
All of our FREC courses run locally in Surrey or we can happily bring our training team to your venue anywhere in the country.

FREC3
The starting point of the FREC system FREC3 is a 5-day course which introduces students to a range of new techniques including the use of airway adjuncts along with a greater knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

FREC4
The next step in your pre-hospital training – FREC4 equips students with wider knowledge, use of more equipment and introduces students to ECG placement and recognition.
Maintaining skills in resuscitation is essential for any clinician. The OOHAILS qualification is designed for FREC4 or Emergency Medical Technicians to ensure they’re upto date.
